# How to remove VAT or Sales Tax from Paddle?

Paddle.com handles our payment processing and VAT, or sales tax. There are two ways to exempt VAT, or sales tax. Here they are:

### On Checkout

When checking out, you have the option to enter a VAT ID.

Click the "Continue" button. In the next step, you will see the option to add VAT/GST information based on your country.

### Contact Paddle

If you need a refund on the VAT or sales tax, just reach out to Paddle after your purchase, and they'll take care of getting your money back to you.
